Classical Charter Schools are high-performing elementary charter schools that opened in August 2006 in the Longwood section of the South Bronx, spanning Kindergarten to fifth grade, with approximately 330 scholars. We expanded into a middle school in the 2013-2014 academic year. Position Summary

South Bronx Classical Charter School is currently seeking a part time Math Curriculum Writer who will create lesson plans for our standards-based, backwards-designed, rigorous middle school math curriculum. Eligible candidates must be able to design lesson plans that are aligned to South Bronx Classical rigorous unit plans as well as the Common Core Math Standards. Additionally, planners must create class activities that meet the daily objectives and engage scholars in high-level critical thinking. Qualified candidates must have experience teaching math at the middle school or high school level and a strong record of raising scholar achievement. Additionally, they must have experience developing rigorous math lesson plans and be familiar with Common Core Standards.
